Dear Parishioners:

Praying that all of you may be doing fine during these challenging times, I would like to keep you informed about the changes affecting our communities, as we reopen our churches for public services these 27 and 28 of June 2020, we will not be able to hold services with more than 25 % of church capacity, or 100 people at the most. If the number of participants exceeds the limit, ushers will ask people to attend another service.

Because of this unprecedented situation, we will have a temporary change in the Mass schedule.

St. Richard Parish Outdoor Mass Schedule:

Saturday Mass at 6:00 pm Spanish Mass

Sunday Mass at 9:30 am English Mass.

Confessions by appointment or 15 minutes before Mass

Sunday 12:00 pm. Bilingual Mass (Christ the King Mission)

Bishop Robert McElroy has established guidelines for us to observe as we gradually can gather to worship without restrictions, when? It is hard to say, however we will pray without ceasing for that time to come back again. In the meantime, we will work together to ensure a safe environment for the spiritual and physical health of this portion of the Body of Christ.

Dispensation from the obligation to attend mass is still in place, and those who are at a higher risk from getting sick or feeling sick already, are encouraged to stay home as well.

The mass would be different in some ways:

​

• Face masks will be required for all, age two and above.

• The Diocese requires every parish to ensure social distancing at all times, ushers will guide you to your seat.

• Hand sanitizer will be provided in multiple locations throughout the church, you are invited to sanitize your hands as you enter or exit the church.

• The Diocese requires every parish to remove Holy Water from all fonts and hymnals/missalettes from the pews; congregational singing will not be possible.

• Collection baskets will be positioned at each door of the building for you to deposit your contribution, if you prefer you can make donations online or by mail.

• Holding of hands for the Lord’s Prayer prohibited and the exchange of the sign of peace is suspended at all Masses.

• Holy Communion will take place at the end of Mass after the blessing and dismissal. Please maintain social distancing in the Communion Procession. Parishioners are encouraged to leave after receiving communion.

• Please be patient, understanding, and kind in following the directions of ministers, and volunteers.
